Students must be four years of age by October 1 of the
year of admission.
KINDERGARTEN
Students must be five years of age by October 1 of the
year of admission.
Students take a readiness test in the spring prior to
school admission.
GRADES 0NE-EIGHT
Grade 1 students must be six years of age by October
1 of the year of admission.
Previous school records must accurately reflect student’s
abilities.
POLICIES
Ascension admits students of any race, color, national
or ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs,
and activities generally accorded or made available
to students at this school. It does not discriminate
on the basis of religion, sex, race, color, national
and ethnic origin in administration of its educational
policies and programs. All admissions are probationary
for the first six weeks after which time progress will
be reevaluated to ensure Ascension can meet the needs
of the student. Enrollment is open to students in Jr.
Kindergarten thru seventh grade using the Archdiocesan
guidelines. Students are accepted into the eighth grade
year on a case by case basis. The Jr. Kindergarten has
a separate handbook for parents and students.
A $150 application fee, per child, is due with the application.
A copy of the child’s birth certificate, baptismal
certificate, and immunization records are due at registration
in August.
VISITING THE SCHOOL
An Open House is held in October and January for prospective
parents.
