SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR – 2020
Monday, September 28th – Thursday, October 1st
Open during school hours.
Unfortunately, we will not be able to have parent lunches or be open for parents to shop in person.
Students will have an opportunity, as a class, to preview books on Monday to make a wish list and have a separate day to purchase books. The books will be displayed so students will not be handling them. Online shopping is also available.
• Ewallet is now available to use as payment at the Book Fair. Ewallet is a safe, cashless way for students to shop, just set up a free account, and add funds. Only the funds actually used at the Book Fair will be charged to your credit card. Visit https://www.scholastic.com/bf/ascensionschool8
• Checks and cash will also be accepted as payment
• You can make a list of books from the brochure that will be sent home and send it in with your child along with payment. We will send the books home with your child.

7th/8th GRADE CONFIRMATION RETREAT
There will be a Parent Meeting on Tuesday, September 29th at 6:30 p.m. in the Church for all 7th and 8th grade parents of students preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Changes to the formation preparation and celebration will be discussed. PICTURE RETAKES-OCTOBER 12
Students who are having their picture retaken or who were absent on the original picture day may come to school out-of-uniform but must bring a uniform to change into after their picture is taken.

PULL TABS COLLECTION-KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
Now is the time to start filling up those Ziploc bags, milk jugs and coffee cans with pull tabs. Every little bit helps. Together we can make a difference. Did you know that Ascension is a Box Tops school? During this challenging time, our teachers and students need more help than ever. No matter what school looks like, Box Tops for Education is a fast and easy way for you to help out from home.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS: Buy participating products and use the Box Tops mobile app to scan your store receipt. The app identifies eligible products and automatically adds Box Tops to your school’s earnings online. Even if you’re shopping online or doing grocery pickup, you can still submit your e-receipts and earn Box Tops. Twice a year, our school gets a check!
The PTO uses money earned from Box Tops to fund our iPad program and other classroom needs for our students!

REMINDER
Student’s who are absent should be phoned in or emailed to Ms. Thomas by 8:30am. There is a 24 hour message system for you to phone in absences, 451-2535 ext. 22.
Also, it is very important that your child/ren arrive at school on time daily! Students should be in their class and chair by 7:55am. If your child is late, you must come in to sign them in. Thank you!
