Greetings Parishioners,
We are excited to announce that our school year has begun on a high note! With enrollment increasing to 183 students, up from last year’s 167, our classrooms are bustling with joy and energy. It’s wonderful to see our students so happy and engaged.
This year, we are focusing on our new mission: Developing Christian Thought Leaders. Below are thoughts on what this means to our faculty and how we will approach the mission with our students:
Modeling Kindness and Positivity
We believe that leadership is best demonstrated through actions. By modeling kindness and positivity, we set an example for our students. We encourage them to live their faith through their interactions with others.
Teaching and Modeling Prayer
Prayer is central to our daily life. We begin and end each class with prayer and keep our students in our personal prayers. This practice helps build a strong foundation of faith.
Encouraging Curiosity and Reflection
We value the questions from our students, especially our younger learners. Encouraging their curiosity helps them explore and deepen their faith. Providing time for reflection and learning from one another is essential to their growth.
Creating Christian Influencers
Our aim is to develop students who positively influence their peers and families. We have exciting projects planned, such as creating TikTok videos on being Christian Thought Leaders and starting an eighth-grade think tank to lead the school in this vision.
Emphasizing Growth and Compassion
We teach our students that making mistakes is okay as long as they learn and grow from them. We stress the importance of compassion, kindness, and strong character—traits that reflect the life of Christ.
Exploring Christian Leadership
We are exploring what leadership looks like for different personalities and how being Christian sets one apart. Our focus is on integrating faith into all aspects of learning and leadership, emphasizing that faith is the foundation of knowledge and leadership.
Moving Forward
We’ll be discussing the influence of famous Catholic thinkers and striving for progress over perfection. Our goal is to make these ideas an integral part of our school culture and ensure student engagement.
A heartfelt thank you to Tony Forns, Bob Feger, Bill Hesse, and the Building and Grounds committee, along with all the community members who supported our summer projects. We’ve accomplished more than ever before, thanks to your hard work. Highlights include:
