As we continue to live our mission of “Developing Christian Thought Leaders, September has been a month of growth, preparation, and community spirit.

Our Confirmation and First Reconciliation parent meetings were a success as we all continue to prepare our 2nd and 8th graders for the sacraments: Confirmation is in March and First Reconciliation in November. Please keep our families, students and teachers in your prayers as they continue to prepare.

Over the past four weeks, our students have also been hard at work with MAP testing. They’ve shown incredible dedication and effort, and we commend them for their hard work! Students are definitely ready for a break, and we will share the results of their testing next month.

Our PTO wrapped up our biggest fundraiser, Easy Money Sweepstakes – a huge thank you to everyone who put this together and to those who supported – I will provide final numbers in November. The PTO also hosted our first Oktoberfest on September 14 – it was a great success with lots of fun, food and games! The next PTO event is Trunk or Treat on October 25.

We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Mary Crush as our new Spanish teacher! Originally from Louisville and a proud graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Mary earned her degree in elementary education with a Spanish minor from Ave Maria University. With experience teaching Spanish at St. Athanasius and later in Miami, she brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to our classroom. Outside of teaching, Mary enjoys reading, spending time in nature, and exploring different cultures. She has already visited six countries and has plans for more adventures. Mary also cherishes time with her two nephews and four nieces, who bring joy and excitement to her life.

Looking ahead, we have our Accreditation visit from the Archdiocese scheduled for October 23. More information will be shared once the visit is complete. We also invite you to join us for our first Open House of the year on October 29 from 9 AM to 6 PM. Please help us spread the word about our amazing school—we look forward to welcoming new families into our community!

Thank you for your continued support and prayers as we journey together in faith and education.
